i4XML
While the iSeries/System i5 world has survived so far without the widespread use of the Extensible Markup Language (XML), technology use is forcing a change. Over the past few years, XML has been transformed from being a useful web development tool into the primary language for data interchange across systems.

iGetExcel
Simply allows you to put every Excel spreadsheet into a sub-file and easily transform them into iSeries/System i5 physical files => works perfectly as a complementary tool to iExcelGen or on its own.
Scenario: think of an organisation doing some yearly price changes, where prices must be calculated manually or with special formulas … and, Excel is perfect for doing this. So, it could be that first of all you have taken the base data from the iSeries/System i5 files and converted it into Excel format using iExcelGen. This is then given to the pricing team and they change the prices, make tests etc. Once the pricing exercise is complete, the data is loaded back into the original iSeries/System i5 files using iGetExcel. Simple and straightforward.

i4Spool
Simply turns iSeries/System i5 Spool files, or SQL queries, into PDF, HTML, TIFF or Word output and allows you to send them around your organization using the built-in email client, i4MailSE. The converted output can be readily stored in the Integrated File System (IFS) for later reference and use.
